Our A/C is brand new and the first time we turned it on it was not blowing cool air. We had it serviced and they checked the pressure and deterimined that when it was installed they did not charge it after they checked it so we had it charged. It worked for a couple of weeks and then we turned it off to go out of town. When we returned it was back to blowing cool air (not cold) and the fan on the unit is blowing cool air instead of hot air outside. What are we looking at here since they determined we do not have a leak but yet we are obviously losing our freon. Any insight would be great. Also this house was a flip so we did not purchase the unit and have yet to find out about the warranty from the guy who sold us the house.

If you are losing freon, there is no doubt, you have a leak

Yeah I just spoke to another A/C company who told me I will need my unit filled with nitrogen gas to check the joints to find the leak. I will post the results and the charges so if this happens to someone else you can have a gauge of what to expect. FYI I am in SLC, UT.
