There is this kid my parents have told me not to speak to, he is very bad. He curses (also in church just not to grown ups) and for weeks I've been wanting to ask him a question. It was "Why do you act the way you act" and for some reason I had thought it was God who brung that idea to my head. Since I was so eager about it I asked him today.. we staarted talking about it and stuff then at the end I told him that he should stop cursing and saying nasty things. He didn't exactly promise but he said he would do it for me.I don't know if he was being serious, but I felt glad that I had the courage to try and change somebody I wasn't aloud to speak to. Do think I did the right christian-like thing even though my parents had told me not to speak to them?

First no, I think you need to listen to your parents almost all the time. ** also how old are you?
And changing for "YOU" is not why they change, nor will they change, so if tomorrow, they start making fun of you, and calling you names, are you also ready for that to happen ?
Good peer pressure is important, but also discussing this with your parents before, and if not, at least after, you do need to tell parents what you did

We are to honor our parents at all times except when it causes a conflict with honoring God. I am sure that if you told your parents what you were thinking they would have given you permission for at least that instance. If not, then you should honor that.
Being a good influence and witness are important, but good intentions are not always enough. You need to do what is right for you to be a good influence and witness.

I think you're a good kid. Don't disobey your parents. Tell them of this incident. On the other hand... sometimes God will speak to a child's heart. Who knows what kind of effect you had on this young man.
Word of advise... tell your parents , never hide anything from them. Hope everything works out for you. Remember obey your mom and dad... God Bless You
