ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I'm using Windows Vista on my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop... I bought this laptop 2 years ago with my Logitech usb mouse and worked perfectly all the time. Suddenly, about 2 or 3 weeks ago the mouse stopped working with new batteries. I thought there's something wrong with the mouse for being old and didn't worry much about it, so I borrowed my sister's mouse, a WENGER (The Diablo) usb mouse and used it for about 1 week... now, it stopped working. I've plugged both mouse trying different entries and nothing. Now I'm worried since they're not working in other computers either (tried with my sister's laptop, a Sony VAIO with Vista, and my desktop PC an old HP Windows XP)... So I'm thinking now that my laptop is the problem... is probable that it infected both devices and that's why they're not working even in other pc's??

Can't survive without a mouse , I'm an amateur photographer, I need to keep editing my photos on photoshop and the mousepad is not fun...

PLEASE HELP,

THANKS!

You said batteries so I'm assuming this is a wireless rodent. Have you tried a wired rodent? Its possible the USB port was damaged which shorted out the rodents. So I would try a wired rodent in a different port.

Got it.

THank you but I need to fix this problem, why both mice got "damaged" when I plugged them in my computer? Besides, I need a wireless rodent not a wired one...
