Ok hi I'm 16 yr old girl

Don't judge me or say anything rude I know selfharming is bad
And I know I should stop but I can't... it's helps

OK so I usually cut my wrist but I didn't want to go further up my arm.. (I'm not one of those persons that does it for attention... I try to hide my cuts the best I can)... soo I did it on my ankle and it's been like 4 weeks now and you can see where I cut like it's smoth but it's just dark red/purple lines and it already has healed... so my question is-is that going to scar or is that a scar?. I hope not cause I don't know what to do then..
Ps... I'm not emo so don't say that I am I just went through a lot and I sometimes rather die then be here and I have a theripst he just doesn't know about the cutting cause that would he sooo akward too tell him and I'm kind of ashamed..
Thanks for reading and thanks for giving me answer if you did

Any cut has the potential of scarring.

I know you don't want advice but you are wasting your time (and that of your therapist) if you are not being honest with him/her.

That's his/her "business." He/she WILL understand. You aren't the first person to cut and you won't be the last.

The marks where you cut on your ankels may scar slightly, however its difficult to say because you're the only one who has seen them?

Make sure to put some antiseptic cream on to guard against infection,if any of the cuts start to ooze or if you can see yellow or green pus you need to see a doctor.

Infection is very high if you are self harming.

I would urge you to talk to your councillor about the cutting, they can help teach you different coping skills that are safer and work.

I have seen really bad scars and some horrific ones from teens who have self harmed when the stress and pressure just got too much.

Again,I urge you to talk to someone and let them know.

I have posted a link that I hope you may look at,you will get a better idea of why you self harm and how it can be helped.
