The first time I EVER had my period was around march this year 2010, but is VERY little blood that comes out. It went on for more than a week, a week and 2 days. Then I missed 2 months, I checked other websites and said I am pregnant, but I am a VIRGIN 100%. I started my period this month on Monday 14 June, and it was little on that day but my belly was hurting so much where the period round the belly is. And today the 17 June Thursday it had stopped completely. So it only went on for 3 days and my mum is very afraid. She said I definitely have blood problems, I don't want to see my docter because its embarrassing and I don't want them looking in my vagina. Please help me I'm very scared

Hun, please don't get upset or scared about this. Since you've only just begun to get your period, it is COMMON that it will come and go and change from month to month. This does NOT mean there is anything wrong, in fact, its perfectly natural.

It may take several years before your periods regulate. That means they will become similar to each other (in time and flow) but you could still get a strange period from time to time--all women do no matter how old they are.

You shouldn't have to worry about seeing an gynecologist until you think about becoming sexually active. If your periods become so painful or heavy that you have trouble doing day-to-day activities or you think you could have an infection (smelly, yellow discharge) then its time to see a doctor.

From what you described, things sound pretty normal for a young girl who just entered puberty. Congratulations on your new milestone! :)

Periods are ALWAYS a little mixed up in the beginning. Just be patient and they will get more normal and regular.
