What is a reasonable price to pay a lawyer for a new citizenship application?

From what I've seen, it ranges from $$750 to $1250, plus the USCIS filing fees and expenses. Please note that I am in a large metropolitan area.
Unless you have tax filing issues; criminal arrests, charges or convictions; selective service non-registration; previous immigration problems; or issues in how you were granted permanent residence, the N-400 is fairly straightforward. Good luck.
