Model number and brand of the equipment you are installing the thermostat on?

Exact number of wires that were connected to the old thermostat?

Exact color of wires that were connected AND the letters of the thermostat the colors were hooked to?

Exact color of wires that were connected AND the letters of the thermostat the colors were hooked to? I should have been more clear. On the old thermostat what was the brand and model and how were the wire colors and letters matched up on the old thermostat.

Without knowing exactly what you are working on as far as equipment is concerned and what exactly was the info on the old thermostat along with the wire color and letter matchup I can be of no assistance since many people do not use the proper color code.

It Honeywell RTH110B. I have red in RC, Orange in RH, green in G, white in W and yellow in Y. There are 2 wires, blue and black not being uses. The outside unit now turns on, but blows warm air.

The old unit was Hunter brand and had several holes for wires. I don't even remember what was in which hole.

I have been told that there is a heat pump and Honeywell RTD110B in not compitable.

I bought a new Hunter brand model#44860 to install tomorrow. This one too many slots now and has a jumper fromRH and RC.

I have red, white, blue, yellow, orange ,black and yellow wires with no idea where each one goes. I took the old thermostat out and have no idea where they were. From the look of it, black was not used.

Could you give some direction using the wire color and slot initial. There are 2 rows of wiring with one side being Terminal Conventional HVAC system and other one being Heat Pump System. With no gas in my condo, I believe that Heat Pump System slots to be used, It says that I should use RC/R,C,Y1,Y2,W2,E,O,B,G and L.

Please let me know which wires should go where.

Thank you for your assistance.
