I went to a monthly check in with my probation officer today in Illinois and asked him if it was possible to get my probation file transferred to another state and explaned mt reason which are GOOD reasons. And what he told me was the he doesn't think that first DUI offender with one dui could transfer he then got on his computor and I could see a little of the screen and what he was doing was chating to someone else. He then told me that DUI probation was can not be transferred. I just wanted to know if that is true cause I'm finding it hard to believe. Someone that knows please help.

Yes, of course it can be transferred, there will be requirements, to programs completed, fines paid and the such.

Now you will normally have to furnish them the address you will move to, the job you will do when you get there. Now if your reason was you "heard" they had jobs there and you were going to live in your van till you found a place to live, well then most likely not
