Hi there,
My name is Alix, I am a 20 year old female and I have a very very sensitive stomach.
I am not pregnant, I have no STI's and the doctor would not see anything wrong with my stomach after I explained to him my situation other than a mild case of "IBS".
Now, my concern here is that after a meal, a healthy meal even, my stomach will ache and hurt and give me constant pain to the point where I must lay down and even let myself fall asleep for the night (if after dinner).
Lately, it has been very bad. The mornings are almost unbearable. My stomach cramps and uncramps and then does so again. It keeps me hanging off our bed throwing up (this morning only a few, but a couple of days ago I was even dry heaving).
I hate these pains! They keep me from smiling and being happy and comfortable.
I do not know what to do.
Something inside of me tells me that it is all just nerves and anxiety like mentioned in other weak stomach questions/answers but I have No idea how to control this?
I have always been prone to worry, in my opinion at least.. . As much as I might worry I am still a VERY happy, positive and energetic girl.

Please advice, opinions!
A big big help I am looking for are some of the foods I can eat to help keep my stomach stay settled and especailly something I can eat when my stomach is upset as sometimes I have NO appetite and we all know, this does not help.

Im confused and sometimes, it makes me scared too.
Thank you,

Alix

Before a specialty diet could be effective it is first necessary to determine a cause for your digestive problems. I would advise against assuming a psychogenic cause (worry, etc) until physical causes have been ruled out. Your digestive system, gastrointestinal tract, is very sensitive and regulated by an array of hormones, enzymes anyone of which cause distress.

It sounds as though your doctor has provided information that fails to affirmatively address your condition or render a diagnosis. Find a doctor that can. As you are the best judge, there is something wrong, but the malady is yet to be defined. It cannot be properly treated until it is properly identified. If possible, you would probably save a lot of time and misery by seeing a specialist in gastroenterology, especially if this condition is long standing and/or worsening.

Otherwise, you are just guessing at cause, guessing at what might help, searching for a solution to an unknown problem that you don't understand. This not only extends your suffering but also risks consequential long term organ damage and a myriad of conditions tied to lack of proper nutrition.

Hey there alix ;), inshala there is nothing to worry about,

The best thing to have is water, and dates, its better to have odd numbers of dates like, 3,5,7 etc, they complete more in odd numbers,

And I'm sure sweety that you have nothing to worry about, just relax and ignore it a little don't think about it at all because it will make you feel worse.. tell yourself that its cured already and you'll feel better inshala,

Wish you all the best sweety and if you need anything : >Removed<
