My toilet is clogged and I tried using a snake, but it's not working. Now the water is coming from the drain in the tub. What should I do?

Try calling a professional to come out and snake/clean your lines. If the clog is further down the line then that is why it is backing up into the tub. So you need much more to solve the problem you have.

This is an interesting case where some might recommned trying to snake the tub drain in hopes of clearing the toilet drain and the tub drain, but it is not a good idea in most cases like this because the smaller drain line associated with the tub could cause an issue with the snake/blockage and bind the snake creating another issue for you... UGH!

You could try to lift the toilet and snake the drain line using a medium snake machine or, if you have a slight pitch on your roof you could snake down the roof vent. Either way, the blockage is in the larger pipe and needs to be dealt with via the toilet drain or the bathroom vent pipe... ;)
