The easy steps
Remove unneeded software
Scan for and remove Viruses, and other malware
Run MSConfig and start all unnecessary applications and processes from loading at boot
Clean temporary files
Defrag
Clean your registry
Add more Ram

Once this is done keep your AV software up to date, as well as your system and be careful out there.

I am assuming you are on a Windows computer. If so, there are a number of things you can do to speed up your computer's performance. If you open up 'My Computer' and right-click on your hard-drive (C:), you can click on properties and the option 'Clean-up Disk' comes. In this menu, you can delete temporary files and most importantly de-fragment your computer. Essentially over time your computer changes file locations and downloads file in a disorganized fashion and this time-consuming process called 'defragmentation' put's everything back in an efficient order, which allows your computer to access files quicker. I suggest doing this right before you go to bed as it will take a long time to do. Hope this helps.

Go to --- Control panel

Add or Remove programs

Delete unwanted files or softwares

And then keep the c drive with available memory and then have good antivirus... sure your computer will work speed...

You can't delete unwanted files with Add/Remove programs. And you really don't recommend someone who claims to not be computer savvy go around deleting unwanted files without the help of some safe software to do it - hmm, wonder what kind of mess that might get them into.
