I filled out an application at a retirment home and one of the questions where "do you have any pending charges of neglect against a child or elderly person" I have 3 pending charges right now but the social worker said most likley there going to be dropped. Should I be honest and tell the employer at the interview about it since I did check the no box? I really want this job but scared this pending charge will change there mind about hiring me.

scared this pending charge will change there mind about hiring me.Hello e:

It SHOULD change their mind about hiring you. Certainly, until the charges ARE dropped, nobody in their right mind will hire you...

Look, I'm sure you're innocent, but if YOU were doing the hiring, you wouldn't hire someone like yourself either. Get the charges cleared, and you'll get a job.

To the first person that comment on this **** off nobody understand until u in that situation anybody can just press charges on you and take out you and your kids mouth I think no charges should show until proven guilty!

Withdraw your application for now, get it cleared up.
Remember this is perfect black mail info, since the minute they find out about it, you would be fired anyway.

If somehow you DID get the job and your charges were not unwarranted you would be fired as soon as they found out you were convicted.

Look for another line of employment as you don't seem to be able to pass the background check right now for child care or elderly care positions.
