Is there any book available to calculate hvac chiller pump head calculation and also pump head calculation for Cooling Tower Pump Head?
How to calculate hvac chiller pump head?
Cooling Tower Pump Head
1) Cold Water from Cooling Tower comes out with 150dia pipe and there are 4 x150dia pipes from one cooling Tower. For 4 Cooling Towers, total 16 nos of 150dia pipes connected to 650dia Header at level 3 Roof.
2) 650dia Cold Water Header at Level3 is connected to 650dia Cold Water Header at Level 2 by 550dia pipe.
3) From the 650Header 4 pumps are connected with 350dia to pump inlet. Pump discharge is then connected to discharge header of 650dia with 350dia pipes and from there Chiller Header of 650dia with unknown dia pipe.
4) From there,Chillers are connected with 350dia inlet and 350dia discharge to 650dia CWR Header with 350dia discharge.
5) From there, 550dia pipe connects another 650dia Header at Cooling Tower Level and from there 150dia pipes 16 nos distribute water to top of Cooling Towers.
6) There are valves and Fittings to account for Friction Loss. What can I refer to account for this losses.
