Hello,

I hope someone can answer my question. I have a Bryant furnace Plus 90 model and I started smelling like electrical burning through one of the air ducts that goes to the upstairs of my home. It is hot right above the access panel. Could someone tell me what this could be. I can only smell this burning when the furnace is running.

Thanks,

Cory turn the "System" switch on your thermostat to off and turn the "Fan" switch from auto to on and see if you have the "Burning" smell after about ten minutes of run time. If you do than chances are you have a fan motor getting ready to go out on you OR if no smell is present after you perform this test, it may be a "Induce drat fan motor that is starting to go bad.
