Hi
My husband has a UK criminal record, and wondered if this would stop him getting a residence visa?
Basically just to fill you in, he was dupped by an Asian seller and got ripped off - paid for goods and never received, however, he sold the goods in the uk before receiving them! Was niaive and was first time he'd done anything like this - done a test order and was OK, but when placed the proper bigger order he got stung! So anyway, he now has a criminal record for fraud - got 2 years suspended sentence and some community hours plus a fine, and wondered if this would affect him getting a residence visa?
We both have job offers, but don't want to get all the way over to Dubai to be rejected and have to return!
So my question is do they check in anyway UK criminal convictions?
Thanks! :)
