I have a small window air conditioner in a room in my garage that I do not have the house central routed to.

It's completely dead now. There happened to be a schematic inside the filter cover. I saw on there is an overload switch in the wiring somewhere.

I'm wondering if there is an internal fuse/breaker on these things usually, or if that overload switch is something that trips and not needs to be reset.

There A/C unit is probably 10+ years old (6000btu by the way) and I really don't feel like ripping the case off if you are going to tell me these things never have a switch or breaker that might be tripped. If it's a blown ac power supply or something I'll just chuck the thing. It's been 15 year since I was an electronic tech and I have no tools and or patience.

Usually no fuse inside.
Usually no resetable overload inside. When the compressor cools off it will auto reset.
