View Full Version : What if you 12 and want to lose 50 pounds in 3 months?

Well, I'm 12 years old. My weight is like 150 or 145 pounds. I don't think that's very healthy for a 12 year old. So I want to be skinny. I'm tired of people calling me fat, because I sort of agree with them. So I would like to try and lose at least 50 pounds in this three months of summer I have, so I can go back to school, as a 7th grader, who's actually skinny, and not fat. So can someone please help me, and tell me what I can do to lose the 50 pounds in this three months that I have?

Stop worrying about the scales, and concentrate on getting fit. Don't think of a number as your target, make it a fitness goal. Perhaps you want to get a new belt in karate, or run a mile in a certain number of minutes, or lift a certain weight in the gym.

Eat as little junk and sugar as possible. Cut out soda, fast food, anything deep-fried, and limit white food. Instead, eat lots of fruit and vegetables, and good protein foods (eggs, fish, meat, chicken, cottage cheese). Drink lots of water.

Be as active as possible. Jumping rope is a brilliant home exercise to reduce fat, and it makes your bones stronger too. Climb stairs at every opportunity. Dance to loud music. Ride your bike.

Watch less television and go to bed on time. I swear, lots of studies have found that the more television you watch, and the less sleep you get, the fatter you get.

No, if you are over weight ? And don't know your height, so 150 may be perfect

But you start working out, walking, then jogging, then running. Perhaps start lighting some weights. If you can, start doing a gym where they can help you professionally.

After that you do slow weight loss, ( if not it won't stay off)

I am 12 to, Im fat and I need to lose weight. My mum says that if I eat something unhealthy, I need to to the exercise to go with it. Im going to go on my nintendo Wii and go on just dance. It's a great game and you lose weight.

If you want to lose weight fast. Start a routine like this,
Monday: Swimming
Tuesday:Walk with the dog
Wednesday: Day off
Thursday: Invite a friend and go to the park
Friday: Swimming
Saturday: Town with friends
Sunday: Horse riding
