My husband and I are actively trying for a baby, I have a few pregnancy symptoms (needing the toilet a lot more, nausea, sore breasts and cramps) I took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it came back negative.
This is the first time I have been late, I'm normally really consistent.
Could I be pregnant with low hormone levels or am I just late?

It could be either way. Usually a pregnancy test would pick it up by now, but not always. You can keep trying a test every several days, wait and see what happens when your next period is due, or see your gp about a blood test. Fingers crossed for you!

Well you do need the hCG hormone to get a positive so either you don't have enough yet or you're just late. It's probably that you're just late but also possible you're pregnant. I'd say wait about a week, then take the test again. My first positive was 4 days after my missed period.
