My 96 Accord will start and run for 10 minutes then die. After it sits for about 20 minutes it will restart like nothing was wrong. Not weather dependent (i.e. hot days vs cold days, no diff) I have replaced the ignition switch and the main relay so far. Seems like something is working fine until it gets heated up by the engine then it disconnects. No cough no jerking no sputtering. Just Tach goes to zero. If driving the speedo still works though. Any help would be appreciated.

Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil will solve the problem:

Thanks Mr. Monkey-Replacing the ICM did the trick. Had trouble with the old distributor rotor though. Very difficult to remove. Took entire distributor out of car and broke the plastic parts off the rotor cap. (So I could get the leak shield off and get to the ICM). Then had to use a 2-jaw puller to get the metal collar of the rotor off. Old ICM had no heat transfer putty on it. This might have been the problem. It's back together now and running great. Thanks Again
