I was sent a letter by the Ohio bmv to show proof of financial responsibility, and did not have insurance so my license was suspended for 90 days, I could have them reinstated on 5-31, but was waiting to come up with the money. I was driving on 6-2 (stupid I know) and got pulled over for not having a county sticker on my car. They put me in the back of the cruiser and searched my car and my purse, then wrote me a ticket for driving under suspension, driving under financial responsibility suspension, failure to reinstate, and no county sticker. My car was also impounded. I go to court next Thursday, should I plead not guilty and get a lawyer? Will it help any? Or should I just take what I get without representation?

You should hire a lawyer and then follow his recommendation about the plea

Yes hire an attorney, while not normally, in some states you could actually get jail time for not having insurance.

Also you can expect your drivers license to perhaps be revolked or suspended for a year or more.

Also the fines for this now could get over 1000 dollars real easy

Also have you gotten your car out of impound, each day it is there, they add additional fees normally
