I have a Reem heat pump for my upstairs in my home. The rectangular box unit sits outside in the alley beside my house. It is very loud. It's not the fan but an AC guy told me it is probably the contact? Is there anyway to fix this without spending a fortune? You can hear it when we are on the deck and in the street in front of the house. It's so loud that my neighbor offered to pay half if I replaced it.
