Hi, I'm trying to track down a movie I watched in junior high in the mid-90s which had been made a couple of years previously. It took place in a location like the African Serengeti. The main characters were an aboriginal native male teenager and a white female teenager (I think her parents might have been scientists of some sort, and she'd been over there most of her life). I think there might have also been a white male teenager too. They were able to communicate through some kind of ESP that they called tapping. There was also a huge sandstorm near the climax of the movie.

Can anyone help me out?
