This is an electric dryer. The parts breakdown is here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.96593410&pathTaken=partSearch
Usually problems are the thermal cutout labeled as item #47, limit on one of the diagrams or the element.
Age kills the heating element and air flow can kill both the limit or the element.
Basic ability such as being able to measure the reistance of the element and to check the limit are essential. Checking air flow, belts and bearings are necessary for failure analysis.
