If some one is in prison in Alabama and gets released to Georgia on parole, can he go to Georgia then move back to Alabama? He is not a minor but he is being released to his mother's residence in Georgia. His mother plans to move to Alabama as soon as he is released and seems to think he is going to be able to move with her. Does he have to be approved by the parole board before this can happen?

The parole officer will have to approve any move, and no he can not move without the PO approval.

Ok, Thank you. It is my brother & our mother seems to think that she can just tell them where he will be & he can just go. I'm just worried that she will convince him that she is right. Do you know of any legit web-sites that I can find that information on to show to her?

AMHD is a legitimate site. Here's advice from an expert.
Print this out and hand it to your mother. She can always check with your brother's parole officer to be sure.

The Parole Officer is the one who makes the decision if your brother is eligible to change the state of residence. Mom has no say so in this situation whatsoever. The Parole Officer needs to contact the new state and make the arrangements for your brother.
Tell mom she's all wet and will get your brother in more trouble than he thinks which could possibly land him back in prison to do the rest of his prison term.

Hello m:
I think Judy was trying to link you here (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/criminal-law/how-transfer-probation-115783.html).
I note that you said he's NOT a minor. He'll know that he's not supposed to move even if momma doesn't.
