Because it's comfortable.

If you wear heels, then sitting with both feet flat on the floor puts your legs at an awkward angle. Also, the shape of the female pelvis means that you naturally tend to splay your legs, and women have been brought up not to sit with their legs apart. Crossing them solves that problem.

Women are not supposed to sit with their legs spread apart. Have you tried keeping your knees together for hours? Human legs naturally fall apart, whether heels are worn or not.

Because these women are LADIES.

Because I prefer to not let everyone see my lady parts & stylish underwear.

This is a two year old thread.

Also ask a woman. Seriously. Physologically their hips are different than a male so the sitting position of a man versus a woman will be a different.

Seriously though, next time you talk to your mom/sister/girlfriend/friend who is a girl, ask them.
