Sounds like the carb needs clean, but if it has a soleniod on the bottom of the carb could be that as well,

I took of the carb. Cleaned, drained the gas put in new. Charged the batterey and cleaned all the connections. Still the same I can see the arch when I pull the plug wire off. Will just turn over and over and not start. I put gas in carb will run until gas burns out.

DG how would I go about checking the safety switches?

I tried this with my mower. Get some starter fluid and spray it into the carb, then when it starts to die spray a little more in the carb. Keep doing this until it stays running. It took about 5 minutes for mine to stay running. My problem was it wouldn't stay running long enough to get fuel to the engine. Try this if it doesn't work it won't hurt anything.

If it starts and dies that means the switches are working.
If it starts when you put gas in it that means it still has a blockage in the fuel system.
Make sure you have fresh gas,now days it doesn't take long for fuel to go bad.
Remove the bolt that holds the carb bowl on,run a wire up though the center, also check and make sure your getting fuel to the carb, from what you have said I'm sure its fuel related. Some times you can miss something small in a carb and that's all it takes.

OK DG I will try the wire tomorrow. Also I do not smell any gas when I turn the switch over no matter how many times I have tried. Thank You

Your not getting fuel. Classic problems are the solenoid at the base of the carb and the fuel valve stuck because varnish deposits from old gas. Float or diaphram also possibilities.

DG I pull carb back of detail cleaned and even blew threw to make sure all was working. There was standing gas in the bowl, So I guess it is getting fuel? Still same prob. Rick

Ok guys I took the car off cleaned again and used a wire to make sure. Now I can't stop the gas flow. Gas just runs out from the inside of the carb. Just a note that after I used the wire when I got to the bowl, There was a lot of derbis in the bowl.
Thanks Rick

If you blew threw with pressure there is a rubber seat under the needle you could have blew that out.
