I bought a truck in FL. And defaulted on the loan. I attempted to return the truck years ago, and the bank told me they sold the account, so I kept the truck and been driving it every sense. How do I get my title?

The debt may have been sold but it still lives, with someone. How long ago did you make your last payment or agree to pay? If the debt was sold the title is likely in that paperwork. Who bought the debt?

I don't know who has it now the account has been sold many times. The bank has been no help. I'm not getting any collection notices. I defaulted in 2000/2001 maybe. It's been so long I don't really remember.

You can never get a title until you find who has it, who is listed as the lien holder on the title itself, legally they are the ones who will have to release it.

I am surprised the truck was not repo'd. Seems to me if you defaulted on the loan on the truck
The bank would have come and got it. But as noted above who ever has the paper work most likely has the title and you can bet they are not going to just hand it over easy
