Hi,

I have frigidaire refrigerator model FRS26BH6CB0 that stopped cooling today.
I opened back panel, I see fan is working. The condencer I feel is hot to touch.
Please me to troubleshoot the problem.

First thing is to get a blanket. Drape it over the refrigerator to hold out any heat exchange occurring. Run the unit for about 5 minutes and it will get really hot under the load. Next pull out the drawers. See if they form condensation upon pulling them out. After that find the back wall of the refrigerator and look for the energy saver switch. Flip it off then drill a hole through the back wall approx. 1/2". This is a breather hole for humidity. Take the blanket off and put the fridge back. Once the compressor trips on overload just jump it out. Call me if there are any more problems.
