The left side of our kitchen sink is VERY slow draining. We had a plumber in to fix it when the right side plugged also. He cleared the right side (garburator issue) but was unable to fix the left. He was in a hurry and left all the pieces to redo it and told us to do it ourselves (don't get me started! ). Anyway, my husband who is NOT a plumber, took it all apart and reassembled it, however, it is STILL slow draining. It backs up straight away when water runs into the sink as well as backing up when the dishwasher runs. Something must not be hooked up correctly or something as the right side where the left side pipes flow into runs fine. This started happening after we replaced our garburator with a larger model... could this have anything to do with it?

If it runs into a T to get to the main then its possible he just shoved it together and didn't trim it back so its pushed in to far causing a back up.

Hope you didn't pay that jerk. Just thought I'd try to draw a picture of what Dad3 is talking about.
