Hey, I am gearing up get in shape. I keep hearing on the radio about Ultra 90. Has anyone heard of it? I read some reviews... Apparently there is no scientific research behind the pills. Both reviews don't say anything bad about it, such as killing the liver and what not, but with no scientific research behind the pills, how would they know?

Just a little bit of input before I toss my money away :) Just looking for something to help me along during exercise. If anyone has anything that worked for them, I'd be interested also! Just a fyi.. I would like to stay natural. So if it's a vitamin that helps out, that's cool too...

Thanks

The main ingredient seems to be CLA. There is good evidence that CLA can help body recomposition (losing fat and gaining muscle) but the results are long term and subtle. Someone taking it for a year might see a loss of 3lb of fat and gain 3lb of muscle.

It won't do you any harm, but it's not any sort of miracle worker. You'll still have to sort out your diet and start exercising properly.

I'd look at the price of it before I buy.

For what it's worth, if I were spending money on supplements to help with weight loss, my choice would be a good multi-vitamin, some fish oil, a cal/mag, perhaps some extra vitamin C and if I had any money left over, some whey.

CLA would be a long way down my wish list.
