93 honda cx won't start died dead... clearly no sputtering= ignition not gas check for spark no spark replace cap rotor, plugs and ICM... is their a way to check the coil with a multi meter ohn these little things..?

A Manual is helpful and will have the Primary and secondary resistances. If either are opened or many turns shorted it will not produce the necessary voltage. I would look for maybe 9,000 to 15000 ohms, and maybe 10 to 50 ohms off the top of my head.
You should have Battery voltage when Ignition is turned on, I don't think it is cranking dependent.
What do you have in Ohms?

I recommend that you replace ICMs and coils every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. Bench testing either of these problematic components is pretty much a waste of time.

Assuming the distributor housing is good, and the CEL comes on and goes off normally, replacing the coil should solve the problem. If it doesn't, install a genuine Honda distributor housing, using your new ICM and coil.
