I moved to Ohio and I live with my mother in law but there is a lot of smoking going on in the house and I have a 2yarl old boy.. I heard that there was a kind of rent assistance here in lorain but I don't know what it is I need to qualify.

Call the village hall or the county human resources office. A township office may be able to help too.

Also the local social service should be able to supply you with an application for rental assistance.It is based on your income. That is how one applys for rental assistance here in my neck of the woods. And I am sure it will vary from state to state
