Lot's of options... here's a traditional example:
Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson
Request the honor of your presence
At the marriage of their daughter
Mary Elizabeth
To
James Michael
Son of Mr. and Mrs. James Spade
Two O'Clock p.m.
Saturday, June 28th, 2010
Cathedral of St. James
450 Main Street
Palatine, Illinois 60067
You have to adapt it to fit the circumstances. The invitation is traditionally made by the parents of the bride or the parents of both parents. Sometimes couples, particularly if they are older, getting married for the second time or are planning their own wedding will issue the invitations themselves... for example:
Lynne Marie Johnson and David Michael Anderson
Request the pleasure of your company
As we celebrate our marriage
Or:
Mrs. Theresa Goodwin and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Harrington
Request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their children
Analise Goodwin and David Harrington
Best wishes to the couple
