This has been driving me nuts. I'm trying to remember the name of a animated movie I used to watch when I was a kid. This is what I remember for sure:
1) I was old enough to remember it, but was still pretty young, so I was probably watching it in the mid to late 80s. It was in a fairly contemporary style (at the time), so I doubt it was made before 1980.
2) The characters could control plants, kind of like Poison Ivy in Batman. I specifically remember vines and flowers.
3) I remember two of the characters facing off near the climax. Just before they fight, the heroine screams "I'm not afraid of you!" and then the villianess smirks and says "Then you are a fool!"
After prodding my brain on this all day, here are some bits and pieces that I'm mostly sure about:
1) I think the characters were elves of some sort. I'm pretty sure they had pointed ears.
2) I think this was made for TV. I vaguely recall pauses for what would have been commercial breaks, but the taped version we had didn't have commercials (which means we probably taped it from the Disney channel, back before they had commercials).
3) I think it might have been an import and then poorly dubbed. Or the animators didn't bother syncing up the voices with the mouths very well.
4) I think the heroine wore blue and pink, and had light brown or blond hair. I think the villianess wore black and red, and had dark brown or black hair.
5) I think there might have been a love interest for the heroine.
I realize that's not a whole lot to go on, but can someone help me out with the title of this?
