Hi,
I have a 2002 Honda Civic lx. I have an intermittent problem. When I drive, every time I release the accelerator my gauges, radio, and pretty much everything electrical shuts off for a second and turns back on by itself. The engine still works and so does power steering, it's just the electrical stuff that turns off. It doesn't effect the driving but it is still scary and I am worried that one day it won't turn back on.
Sometimes the problem will go on for weeks like this, then disappears for a random period, anywhere from a day to few months, then the problem reappears again.

From these posting on this website it seems like people are mentioning the ignition switch, but how does the accelerator affect that? It's not from the care jerking either, its fine over bumps but has the problem when I very smoothly let go of the accelerator.

Please help me, thank you.

. Remove and fully charge the battery. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:
