This is my first time of purchasing any material.Im looking for cheapest of insulation for kitchen.I have to redo the wall.It has NO insulation in it.Im on very tight budget.Im looking into all places that sell this.I don't know which is best.My place is 13'x6',also 2'x7 & 1'9"x7'5".How much do I need & the [email protected] My son is a contractor& coming from OH to do this.He wants me to have all this ready.What the best to get?

Tyvek is not an insulation and it goes on the outside of the house under the siding. Tyvek is a air inflitration barrier. Ask your son to better explain to you what he will do when he gets there. Is he residing the home too?

I agree with Bob, Tyveck is not insulation, it is a house wrap. It is just a paper shield that has some insulation value because it restricts air movement.

Your son is the contractor, you are the Mom. Bake him a batch of chocolate chip cookies and let him get the material he needs.
