My child eats very little and will sit over her food for a long time, she is 8 years old in December. Over the last couple of months she has started vomiting over her meals when my back is turned, she will then say the food made her feel sick or that she didn't want it in the first place.
I really am not sure what to do.
I refuse to make either of my children separate meals to myself and their father and have taken the 'get what your given' or go without approach, my daughter will go hungry rather than eat the food.
The food she is given is no different to the food she has had all her life and eaten often, it seems to be the last few months that she has started doing this with her food.
I am at a loss so any help or advice would be useful

Any stresses going on in the family? At school? Have you taken her to see her doctor? That would be the first step so that they can check things out.

It may also be that something triggered the situation to begin with, but now there may be increased anxiety over meal times that it continues to perpetuate itself. Does she have any snacks? If so, how does that go? Does this happen at other people's homes? When eating out?

Be sure to keep meal times calm, enjoyable, and stress free as they should be.
