Somehow I keep hitting a combination of keys that causes my Lenovo ThinkPad x41 to type symbols (!@#$... ) instead of the number (1234... ). I've tried every combination of Alt, Ctrl, Shift (including holding it for 5 seconds for StickyKeys), Fn, & Num Lock that I could think of, but none have worked. Restarting corrects the problem but if there is an actual way to turn this feature off I would love to know what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When you are getting those type symbols, you are typing with the SHIFT KEY DOWN. For instance sHIFT KEY DOWN !@#$ SHIFT KEY NOT DOWN 1234. Try that
