Something, possibly low voltage wires might be shorted sending power at all times to the contactor, or maybe start at tstat,, disconnect the yellow wire which should be sending signal to ac,, does it still run?

I had a tech check it out. Found the fan motor was bad. I am going to replace motor to see if it fixes the problem.

No way a fan motor should cost $130 plus inless it is some special 2 speed motor, or is a huge motor.. What size ac you have?

That's why, trane and american standard are way over priced, you should be able to pick up a universal motor for around $65 to $85 Brands like a. o smith

But how to do cross reference and will it fit my current unit? Shift size for fan, screw holes..
What generic brand would you recommend?
Thank you again

A "bad" motor won't run continuously... it's the control that was the problem. Someone misled you on the cause of the problem... then charged you for something you probably didn't need.
