I have started using neilmed sinus rinse to combat my sinus troubles, blocked runny nose and post nasal drip, recurring sinus infections, allergies... My sinuses had been OK for a few weeks but My doctor has suggested surgery. I thought I would try the sinus rinse as I've heard so many good reports. Since using the rinse I have found my post nasal drip worse and I have a feeling like there is loads of stuff deep back in my nose but when I blow only a little bit comes out. Can the water go into your sinuses and stick there? I know its sounds nuts but that's exactly what it feels like.

What kind of water are you using to mix the nelimed solution? Tap water can cause irritation, itching and burning. You could try using a purified or distilled water that doesn't have chlorine or other chemicals in it. I also have chronic sinus infections and used Nelimed for a while but got no relief from it at all. It did the same to me as it is doing to you, it made the situation worse. I also had sinus surgery but got no relief from that either. I do not know if the water can "stick" there, but it sounds like the Nelimed is making the situation worse. You should really inform your doctor that the sinus rinse is not working. Take care!
