So the last period I have had was 03/11 and here it is two months later with no period. I have taken two urine pregnancy tests and they both come out negative. I have been having some signs that I might be pregnant such as sore breast, fatigue, very moody, and bloated all the time. My husband and I were trying to get pregnant so I made sure we had intercourse at the right time. We are stationed over in Japan and these people are ridiculous. They say since the urine tests came back negative they won't give me a blood test. They also said that the blood test is no better then a urine test that's why they won't give me one. Their saying I'm not pregnant without even hearing anything I have to say. I'm so tired of dealing with them and I don't want to put the baby at harm if I am pregnant. Does anyone have any advice what I should do and how I should go about finding if I am or not? Since the military medical help won't help me.

Have you been sure to use first morning urine to take the tests? And that the tests are not expired or even near the expiration date? I've always heard that blood tests were more accurate, but since they seem set that they are not, the only thing you can do until you can confirm if you are or are not pregnant is take care of your body as though you were. Start taking a prenatal vitamin if you haven't already, no smoking/drinking/otc's not intended for pregnant women. Make sure you're eating healthy.
Does japan have any sort of health clinics or hospitals or anything that may be able to help you? I don't know much about japan's health care, but maybe you can find out if they have something equivalent to a planned parenthood there that can help you.

Yes I use morning urine every time I take a test, and yes I make sure they aren't near the expiration date. That's what I thought that the blood tests are more accurate but they don't seem to think so. I have been taking prenatal vitamins ever since my husband and I started trying to conceive. I will definitely will make sure I start eating right and taking care of my body just in case.
I don't think they have any clinics that I could go to besides the one on the military base. I will absolutely start researching about other clinics I might be able to go to. Thank You so much for your advice! :-D

Best of luck. I can only imagine your frustration. But try to relax and not let yourself get too stressed out. Hopefully one of those tests will come back positive soon.

Well... from personal experience... With my first child I actually had periods for the first 3 months. So the fact that you are not having periods is a huge giveaway. Also.. When I took pregnancy tests with both of the children, they read negative for 2 months! Seriously, 2 months. I did it exactly how the test instucted too. First morning pee. Anyhow.. the Dr explained that it could be that the hormone that is in your urine when your pregnant (which is what the test is picking up on) just wasn't strong enough. He said he see's this a lot in his practice, crazy! So YES you could be pregnant, specly with other symptoms. There are other things that can cause you to miss your period though like thyroid problmes, stress, new exercise program etc...
To ease your mind though.. there is a show on TV about people that didn't know they were pregnant with no prenatal care. So, it's not going to kill your baby if you are pregnant. BUT.. here is an idea. It is a bit dishonest.. but.. go to the dr and either make something up like an illness that you know they will give you a blood test for or request to have blood test ran, say you think your iron is low or something. Just an idea. Good luck, I hope something works out for you!

Not only is it dishonest, but it won't show for pregnancy. You see, for a blood test to show positive for pregnancy, the correct test needs to be ordered. If I order a test for low iron, or anemia, the lab runs that test only. It will detect iron levels, not pregnancy levels.
A pregnancy blood test needs to be ordered to detect the pregnancy hormone called hCG.

Do you have a question? Or are you just sharing experiences? It sounds like you already know you need to go to the dr
