I was incarcerated for 6 years and now I owe 10k in child support. I am trying to go to school I passed my placements test with high scores but now I am concerned that the money I owe in back pay child support will prevent from getting student loans and financial aide , does any one know if they can prevent me from getting those loans to get back in school and change my life?

Yes, it can effect you getting some student loans and grants.
Have you went to court and worked out an approved repayment plan since you got out of prison
