I have this oil painting and I would like to try to identify it. In the bottom right hand corner appears to be a signature that simply says "August".

Attached is a photo of it. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, kevsinc11!
Would you be able to post an image of the painting and a close-up of the signature on this thread, please?
Thanks!

Do you have a close-up image of the signature?

Here is the signature. Sorry if the quality isn't all that great.

Hmmm...
It's really hard, at least on my monitor, to make out anything in the signature. Would you be able to repost with a clearer one, please? Also, there seems to be a tint of yellow to the two images. Is that the way they really look when they are seen by a person where the painting is currently hanging on a wall?
Thanks!

I've taken three more - actually I took dozens - these are the best ones. I don't have a great camera & it's difficult to see the Signature in the first place.
The yellow tint is how it looks. My dad got it in the early 70's and it was subjected to 3 packs of smokes a day for almost 40 years.
I am looking at ways to clean it up.

Here we are. Sorry - only two uploaded though - I think due to size.

I have an image editor that does a pretty good job. Have already tried to clean it up a bit. Let's see what it can do.
I'll post an image here when I'm done.
Someone else might also be able to do better...

Here's a close-up of the signature that's hopefully a bit more legible.
