Hi, I am looking into purchasing a newer home, it is seven years old. The inspection papers came back and said that the plumbing lines were checked using air pressure, and that pressure could not be maintained, possible leak. What does this mean? I am clueless when it comes to anything like this. Is this a red flag, or an easy fix? Thanks! BTW... It also says that the AC fan will not respond to a generator, and they were unable to get the fan motor to respond..? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Kim

Hi Kim,
Plumbingwise it means that the water pipes will not hold pressure. This could be as minor as a leaky faucet or as expensive as a leak under the cement or in a wall.
The inspector also found the air handler fan motor in the AC unit wouldn't run so you don't have AC.
Both are red flags that MUST be resolved before any papers are signed.
Get them repaired before you even think about purchasing. Good luck, Tom
