Hello, I am 29 (almost 30 in July) and I have been off Birth Control for 7 months. I have to say in the beginning it was tough but now I feel great! I do get brown discharge. I have read that when you have 3 periods in a row that are the normal days apart then you are back to normal. I just wanted to see if that was true. I do want another baby and I never realized that age and how fertile you are changes! Younger people take having babies for graduand!

There are a number of ways to get an idea of when you might be ovulating but only blood work will let you know for sure. Here is just one site that will get you started, ovulation (http://www.americanpregnancy.org/gettingpregnant/understandingovulation.html). Just keep in mind that not everyone follows the norm, some women will ovulate sooner or later than the average so getting to know your own body over a few months will be a benefit.

You can also practice the Fertility Awareness Method, recommended in "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It's the method I used, but its not for everyone as it requires temping, checking your cervix, and monitoring cervical fluids daily.
