I was wondering how do you apply for a duel citizenship for Canada and the U.S. I was born in Canada and so were both my parents, however my grandfather was born in the States. I've lived in Canada my entire life but some day I would like to move to the states.

You are not eligible for dual (not duel) citizenship by virtue of a Grandparent who was a US citizen (presumably).
Move to the States and become a citizen or move "here" and remain a Canadian citizen.

Ok thanks. Although I didn't mean it like I was eligible because my grandfather was American, I just mentioned it because I wanted to provide a reason why I was moving to the States, which is that I have some family there. What makes someone ineligible for dual citizenship?
My boyfriend who is a Canadian citizen, and his parents (who weren't born in Canada), all have dual citizen ships, at least that's what they told me :S.

There are many details you would need to look at... i.e. if one of your parents has dual citizenship, and has reported your birth to US consulate, you may be eligible to claim dual citizenship, but if you are now over 18, the chance is slim, etc. Discuss this issue (with ALL details) with immigration attorney...
