I've read the answers. This is not a new install. I've lived in the house 3 years now. Is it still the same problem with the "stem" and "o ring"? I've done other repairs but not this before.

Most modern faucets have cartridges instead of washers and seats. If you can find the make and model of your faucet, a good plumbing supply house should be able to sell you the hot water cartridge for this.

Is this a one handled valve or two handle? Can you give us a brand name?>n Let us know. Tom
