We changed our kitchen faucet and now the water is cloudy but becomes clear after sitting a few minutes. It didn't do that with the old faucet. Why is it doing this and how do we fix the problem.
Thanks

Hot, cold or both? Are you on a municipal water system or a well?
Do you have a water softener or a whole house water filter?

It can be that your water has very small air bubbles in it caused by fine aerator. Try to remove aerator and run water w/o it. See if you get clear water now. Back to you...

It is only the hot water and yes we do have a water softener. We live in the country so we have a well. The problem appeared only with this faucet. The old faucet was a single faucet while this one has three parts to it, faucet, control and side spray. The cold water runs clear.
Thanks so much.

Could be just air in the hot water, hot water holds more air than cold. How long since you flushed the water heater. Since you are on a well, you could have a build up of very fine sand in the bottom of the water heater. Could be that this only shows up in kitchen faucet because of its greater volume.

Thank you for your suggestion. We tried that and realized that it's only the hot water that is cloudy but settles after a few minutes. The old faucet was just a single unit while the new one has three parts to it, the faucet, control and side spray. Don't know if that is the cause. Just annoying having cloudy water. Honestly, we built our own home and sugar cabin and can't figure out a stupid faucet! Lol
Thanks so much for your help.
