I am trying to apply for a green to gold scholarship. My problems are that I am currently on probation for a domestic issue. Nothing ever happened in this issue, but I am required to take classes in order to satisfy my probation. Now, since there was an issue of Domestic, although not convicted, I am required to get a waiver in order to apply. What should I do? Another thing... I have spoken to the VA about the using the MGIB in conjunction with the ROTC 4 yr scholarship and they said that I would not be able to have any of my benefits while in ROTC. The weird thing is, I have spoken to ROTC cadets and they have told me that they are receiving E5 BAH, a monthly stipend, extra money for books, as well as money for taking military science. Is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry story not right, you can not be on probation unless you were convicted. You may have plead guilty, or made a plea deal but that is convicted. I am surprised the ROTC will even allow you to stay in with any domestic criminal conviction.

But yes, you will need a waiver for the conviction.

And yes it was a conviction if you are on probation
