I have a john deere 345 that won't start... it is getting good spark to the plugs... sprayed a little fuel into the cylinder and nothing... ran great a week ago... mowed w/ it... parked it and went out to start it to mow again a week later and nothing.

Hi,
The 345 often has a module that is located on the left at the rear corner of the engine and fastened to the radiator mount bracket. It is recognizable since is electrical in nature and has wires coming out of one end of the cylinder. That engine has battery-energized coils with triggers beneath the radiator/shrouds. This will throw off timing and give safety switch problems.
Peace,
Clarke
